I picture it as the kind of place where muddy boots are welcome after a long day on the trails, especially with a locally sourced meal waiting. The room was clean and provided ample space for relaxation. I particularly enjoyed the log fire in the snug. It added a certain warmth. I appreciated the location, especially with the open bifold doors in the restaurant.
Limited options exist for larger shops. It requires bringing essential supplies or relying on the small village shops available nearby.

Acceptable Stay with Definite Issues

drab roompoor shower
The bar lacked atmosphere. I saw one disinterested staff member the whole time, and the room needed updates. The shower was bad and the sink was in the room, not in the bathroom, this was odd.
